Pastor David Payne is planning to lead another tour to Turkey next September/October. The last tour to Turkey was a wonderful success, visiting this land rich in unique beauty and biblical history. The purpose of these tours is to enrich one’s understanding of the Scriptures and print an indelible mark on one’s faith. This particular tour will open up the book of Acts in living colour and bring to light numerous insights into the culture and meaning of the New Testament. You will come to a better understanding and appreciation of our heritage as Christians.
Israel is the land where Christianity was born, and Turkey is the land where it grew up. This is the land where the first recorded journeys of the earliest missionaries occurred. This is the land where the early church flourished and suffered. This is the land of the 7 churches to which Jesus addressed the Revelation. This tour will explore the sites where Paul and the early missionaries walked, preached, lived and suffered for the faith. You will stand among the ruins of ancient cities like Pergamum, Laodicea, Sardis, Ephesus, Priene and Antioch Pisidia. This exceptional tour will also fly inland into central Anatolia to discover the unusually beautiful and unique region of Cappadocia, to explore the caves and underground cities where early Christians hid from their persecutors. You will sit where they sat and pray where they prayed. You will enjoy a cruise out to the Greek Island of Patmos where John received the Revelation.
Please let David know by January 31st if you would be interested in such a pilgrimage so that plans can begin and more specific information can be provided. For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact Pastor David at firstname.lastname@example.org.
